my friends and i are at the ontario linux fest and guess who is apparently the favored media outlet for the show?

you guys! the linux outlaws podcast is supposed to be one of the top three media outlets covering the event. there are only three of us, but do you want us to try and get notes on the talks that are going on today? i am in the ruby on rails 101 talk right now.

Well that was fun! mi'right guys? we gotta do this again next year!
I learned some cool stuff about converting people, writing manuals, Ubuntu Moblin and NBR, SciNet, and we saw Zonker's Musical Guide to The Future of Linux, and we made some new friends and stuff! This was awesome!

we are going to have to decide what we are gonna speak about next year. although, i am getting WAY ahead of myself.

I, for one, would love to hear about the Ontario Linux Fest -- it didn't seem to get anywhere near the ballyhoo that the Ohio Linux Fest, SELF, SCALE, LRL/Oggcamp, et al, received this year.

Yeah, I'd love to hear what happened - and hopefully OLF and OggCamp won't overlap next year. I'd love to have the option to go to both. :)

some of the notes are quite limited in scope and by no means capture the entirety of the scope of the presentations. most of these notes are in jot points. i believe that OLF did a recording session so that you can watch all of the conferences. the files are all ODT files within a .tar.gz . maybe next year i will actually do a sound recording and post it up instead. that is, if people want me to do this. this year they said that LO was one of it's prime podcasts, but we had very little representation there this year.

Whoa, you were far more organized than I was at OggCamp. I barely got pictures! :)
