Right, now that is out of the way I would like to announce that I have now officially rewritten http://www.crapalert.org in Mono - enjoy :-)

The captcha required to download is foiling me. Can you post the code elsewhere?

PS. Mono isn't a language.
If the key is super, why is there a Windows logo on it?

Holy fuck does that hosting site have a lot of pop-ups that get past Firefox's pop-up blocker.

Haha, nice program dude. I'm currently waiting ~500 seconds to get the source as well, I'll load it up to another place as soon as it's done.
Also, when I find the time I'll try to do that in Python, I need a challenge :D

Yep, I really need to find a better host - googling 'file hosting' just does not seem to work anymore :-( .

For those not looking at the source code, the app is written in C# and uses GTK for the UI.

Ha! I'll do a Vala version. Since Python doesn't have something similar to C#'s System.Media.SoundPlayer, I would suggest using Gstreamer's "playbin".

Does anyone care to do a Java port?

And most importantly....welcome to the forums twright. :)

That should actually be easier than a Python port I guess.
