Sudo Modprobe, Classical Version
Man, we have the best listeners in the world! Just a short addendum to yesterday’s post: Jon has just send me his recording of the classical guitar version of Sudo Modprobe and it sounds amazing! So, without further ado, I present you the classical guitar version of your theme song, written and recorded by the great Jonathan Kulp:
- Sudo Modprobe (Classical Version) Ogg Vorbis, 0.9 MB @ 96 KBit/s
- Sudo Modprobe (Classical Version) MP3, 2.2 MB @ 192 KBit/s
Have fun with this, everybody and thanks again to Jon for his great work and commitment! You will hear this being featured on the show pretty soon, I think.

Nice to see that there are some classical guitar players out there in the linux world; that makes me feel less alone

This is some excellent work. I only wish it were longer. Maybe the next work will be “Sudo Modprobe, Theme and Variations”. Classical music fan that I am, maybe this can overtake Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez” in popularity. The next time I see Sharon Isbin, I’ll see if she’ll play Sudo Modprobe!

This took me back 15 years when I’d take my Yamaha classical guitar to the park (my cat would go with me and sleep on top of the guitar while I played). I listened to Rodriguez on a 12″ single so many times but couldn’t quite make it
Hopefully you didn’t have to put too much work into getting this one out, so we can look forward to something new and fresh maybe every month
waddaya say? Will you be challenging Rodriguez?
With so much talent in the world, it makes you wonder why everyone is so hell bent on stealing commercial music and fighting the RIAA – we should just get back to sitting in a circle around the forum and entertaining each other. Nice work Jon

Hey guys, I know this is off topic but just wanted to say that it was great seeing you at LinuxTag. I saw you twice in the hall (on my way to and from the nmap talk), but the first time you looked busy on laptops and the second time Fab was with his girlfriend and I didn’t want to disturb! Love the show and keep up the good work!

Aww, dude! You should totally just have talked to us. Next time you see us, just interrupt, OK? Don’t be shy, we are really friendly.

Hey, nice song. Just heard it on the 100 episode. I’m looking forward to many more versions. Good source material for sure.
