Fab,
Yes I get paid to sometimes code in Java. I have also been paid to code in other languages as well. As a programmer I think Mono is pretty low in my list of frameworks/languages to use.

I don't really love it. Nor do I hate it or have ever claimed to do so. I have always used Mono apps because I like the apps and said so on the podcast. I just think this is a good idea and it sounds like a neat implementation too.

BTW, maybe you should also mention that you are a Java developer... ;)

Fab, do you love Mono now? Did it all it take to sway you was an interview with Miguel? Maybe we should keep Ballmer away from you after all. I'd hate to see what that would do. Regardless, we still love you. Personally I'm indifferent to Mono. As a developer there are far better choices that a Microsoft technology that might come back and bite us in the ass. Isn't the whole point of moving to Linux is to get away from what Microsoft and Apple offer?

Interesting stuff, I'm not keen on promoting Windows Media as a format but it's like Flash, it's something we can't avoid and having options to make it work easily is good for end users. Like you say it if helps adoption of Linux in some small way then that's good :) I expect flames from this hehehe :P
